Success! Word that everyone wishes to be labeled on when doing business.
According to the experts, success in business is accomplished at the moment you start implementing your good ideas into the market, finding ways or options to earn money with your thoughts, finding business opportunities.
Many people are convinced that the good opportunities, generally speaking, are based on good luck, that something unexpectedly and magnificently good happens to a random person in random conditions. Does it really? Is good luck that much unpredictable and uncontrollable?

Many people are convinced that the good opportunities, generally speaking, are based on good luck, that something unexpectedly and magnificently good happens to a random person in random conditions. Does it really? Is good luck that much unpredictable and uncontrollable?
To understand better how to find good business opportunities -or opportunities in general- let’s simplify the facts first.
Looking over the Internet, the best definition of good luck I have found is the following one (from Oxford dictionaries website): Good luck is a "Chance considered as a force that causes good things to happen".
If luck comes from chance, and probability make us measure chance, then there are ways that you can measure luck, and if you can measure it, you can also manage it.
Now, don't misunderstand me, I do believe that sometimes good luck also comes in random ways, for example, finding a $100 note walking on the street, but even like that, there were decisions and actions taken to be on that street, either with or without purpose.
So, if you want to find good business opportunities, then you have to manage and measure your luck, you have to find the actions and decisions you need to take in order to increase the probability of causing good things to happen in you.
Let's think for example on the Google's "I'm feeling lucky" button, if you don't know what this button does, practically it takes you directly to the first ranked website from the search result of whatever you write that you want to search.
Now: Who is the real lucky there?
The user?
Or the website owner?
For the website owner, it probably took a lot of work, investment in money and time to get his website onto the first ranking. The owner worked hard and consistently to find his own luck, to be at the top of the search results, to get most of the users visit his site.
We already do it with risk!
A similar method can be seen when we avoid risks. On our daily life, we see risks everywhere: risk of losing money, risk of crashing your car while you drive, risk on crossing the street and getting hit by a bus, etc. But we make decisions and take actions everyday so many times, even unconsciously, to decrease our chances of something bad happening.
We naturally measure and manage our own bad luck, and it works (you are alive, right?). To find good business opportunities for you, build yourself the habit to make decisions and actions every day to improve your luck.
What can I do RIGHT NOW?
There are many actions and decisions you can take to find good opportunities. Some good actions to start doing now are:
- Surrounding yourself with successful people, people which makes their own good luck, learning from them.
- Thinking of new ideas, look for way to develop them into a business, keep a journal and write them.
- Be sociable, look for ways to share ideas, join social networks and meet new people which can have your same way of thinking.
- If you already own a business and are looking to grow, look for websites which people discuss about the products or services of your industry. Participate and create new acquaintances.
- Reading, learn new things and get new skills. Learning new things might let you identify business opportunities in different areas.
- Are you an expert on something? use your expertise to help others, sell your own experiences.
- Find a common problem in life or business that does not have a solution yet, use your ideas to try to fix it. Many of the present businesses are based on solving a problem to the community.
- Check other companies products and services, find ideas to make that product or service in a better way. People will always be interested on something better than what they actually have now.
