So what can we do to make ease the steps of being consistent? What tools can we use to make a kickstart, work faster and improve our results?
Consistency, explained in few words, is our behavioral state of doing something repetitively over a time period without changing. When you do some task very often, eventually becoming some sort of routine, then you are doing it with consistency.
Being consistent for your work can be difficult, but it brings a lot of benefits when we are talking about long terms, like improving your discipline and patience, helping you to become more efficient and eventually bringing you excellent work results.

Also, developing some level of consistency in your work -as mentioned in one of my previous articles- is one of the ways that can help you beat procrastination, which is one of the difficult habits you could fight with if you really want to start working hard.
There are many ways, also many tools and habits you can use that can help you start being consistent. Here are 3 consistency tricks that will help you speed your work:
1. Use a calendar to keep progress
Get a calendar and put it somewhere visible at your work place or desk, but not only that, use the calendar wisely.
If you want to be consistent, for example, in having staff meetings to keep updated the work progress with your colleagues, then make yourself sure that you achieve this task in every working day. Once is done on each day, then mark it on your calendar, and follow it up every day.
Using a calendar will really help you to track and keep progress on those tasks which you want to make consistency.
2. Avoid distractions and set up a time
Have you ever started a diet, or to do some exercise then quitting only few days later? We have so many distractions in our environment which doesn't let us keep focused on what we want to do.
Keep all those distractions away, switch them off, erase them, so you can concentrate better on your moment and do your work.
One of the best ways to do this is setting an specific time of your day to do your work, it can be an hour, half hour, or few minutes (it depends on you), and during this time switch off your distractions and aim your attention only at the work which you want to keep consistency.
3. Reward yourself over time
Rewarding to yourself after doing your tasks can give you more inspiration and motivation to continue doing this work until it becomes a routine. This is one of the most useful ways to reach consistency in your work.
The rewards can be something that you like to do, like something of your entertainment, watching a movie or going someplace. The best part is that, if you only do these things you like as a reward for your work, you will actually enjoy them more and better than doing them on any usual day.
